Atticus + Dad | Jacksonville NC Photographer | North Carolina Photographer

Wow-- can anyone believe it's almost JUNE?!? This year has seriously flown by. I spent the first few months anxiously awaiting my husband's return from deployment and now that he's been home for nearly 6 weeks, life seems to be in fast-forward.

Memorial Day weekend was a nice opportunity for us to slow down a bit. I had an engagement session planned about an hour south of Asheville and since we had yet to venture into the western part of the state since moving to North Carolina, my little family tagged along. As a Jacksonville NC Photographer it was so nice having a new environment in my viewfinder, and as a mom, it was a chance for some family bonding. It was a quick 36 hour trip but it wasn't short on awesome memories.

As a part of this month's Blog Circle, I thought I'd share a few shots of my husband and son enjoying the falls in Dupont State Park. I'll be back later to show off the amazing engagement session I shot there, but since the Blog Circle theme this month is "water", this is totally fitting. Atticus had a blast splashing around with dad while I was working and towards the end of my client session I was able to capture some images of my boys dropping branches into the water and racing downstream to catch them. Later I spied them sitting on the rocks, relaxing and waiting for me to wrap up. I guess you can say my job is pretty neat. I get to photograph couples in love all the while enjoying family time. Yeah, that's pretty special.

After you're done here, be sure to check out Okinawa Family Photographer, Kristi James Photography's take on this month's "water" theme. From her blog you can click on the next photographer, then so on and so on, until you've made a full circle. And if you're so inclined, leave some virtual high fives, AKA blog comments :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you've enjoyed this little peek into my life. Isn't my kid the cutest thing ever?!? Just say yes :)
